Happy New Year

 Hello everyone!!! Happy New Year!!!

These past couple of weeks have been crazy! We had transfers and I am training!!! I picked up my cute little baby missionary last Thursday and I just love her so much and she is adjusting to missionary life so well which is such a blessing!!

And Tambriell got baptized last Sunday!! Holy that day was so awesome and so happy!! She said that she was nervous but that she knew she was making the right decision. I am just so proud of her and so happy for her. Seeing her confidence in her faith grow has been amazing!!!

Ok funny story time!!! Basically a couple days ago we found this lady named Beatrice who was interested in us coming back and sharing a message with her. We knew she didn't speak great english but it was good enough that she could understand what we were saying. So we go back yesterday and her husband is there who speaks very, very little english. He asks if we speak french and we told him no but that we had other missionaries that speak french. So I hurry and FaceTime them and I'm like pretty please talk to these people and they say yes so I pass the phone over and this man starts BASHING them in french. And I'm like ahhhhhhh!!!! We had a member with us who speaks some french and she just kept looking at us like it wasn't good and I was like haha oops. Anyways they finally hand the phone back to me and the elders are like "ya they want us to come back". And i said "huhhhhh" 🤨 and i was like "we'll call you back in a second". So we wrap up the conversation and call them back snd they tell us that they definitely got bashed but that they were ok with them coming back and they said that they might as well go. And i was like well thats awesome. Turned out good in the end i guess. Probably gonna get bashed again but oh well what can you do

Also another funny story!!! New year's eve my best friend and favorite stl sister merrill and I were chatting because we wanted to stay up till midnight #badidea!!! We were having such a spiritual conversation and then it somehow turned into a scray conversation about evil spirits. Then she told me this story about someone in our mission a couple years ago and, without going into detail, she told me what they saw in the middle of the night. And it just so happened to be similar to lots of other stories that I've heard about people seeing this same thing. And these stories have scared me since I was like 12. So i'm terrified at this point and so is sister merrill and we were too scared to get off the couch. But then I remembered someone told me once that if you open a book of mormon and put it near you while you sleep, evil spirits won't come. Sister merrill and i REALLY took this to heart. We opened ALL of our extra books of mormon and placed them all over our apartment hahahaha. They were literally everywhere and the other stl, sister royce, woke up in the morning and was like what the freak happened and we were like ummmm you don't want to know

Anywaysssss things in Kentucky are good especially because we have banned all scary story telling past 9:30 🫡

I don't have much of a spiritual thought today other than that God and Jesus Christ know and love us all personally and perfectly. I know that they live and I feel so extremely lucky that I get to share that message every single day. I love being a missionary and I am proud to be one. I stuided Alma 26 today and these verses stuck out:
11) But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.

12) Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.

37) Now my brethren, we see that God is mindful of every people, whatsoever land they may be in; yea, he numbereth his people, and his bowels of mercy are over all the earth. Now this is my joy, and my great thanksgiving; yea, and I will give thanks unto my God forever. Amen.

I know that God knows me and my joy is so full because of His goodness!! When you look for God, I promise that you will find Him. And if you haven't found Him yet, pause and look back and you might just see him in a way that you missed in the moment. I promise He is there.

I love you all!!! Happy 2026🥳
